About the Conference

The Conference is an annual event and the largest gathering of banking and finance professionals in Africa, with an estimated audience of 10,000 comprising professionals, policymakers, regulators, members of the academia, operators, and other stakeholders in the financial services industry. The objective of the Conference is to, among others, provide a veritable platform for subject experts and industry stakeholders to drive conversations and unanimously design a clear road map towards repositioning the Financial Services Industry for economic growth and stability.

The theme of this year’s conference is “REPOSITIONING THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY FOR AN EVOLVING GLOCAL CONTEXT ”. The choice of the theme is occasioned by the need to articulate an actionable blueprint for repositioning the Financial Service Industry as a major catalyst for economic advancement in this fast-paced technology driven era.

Customarily, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR, will inaugurate the Conference and the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, CON, FCIB is expected to deliver a Goodwill Message as the Chief Host of the Conference.

The Organising Committee of this year’s edition consists of highly renowned industry experts, chaired by the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive officer of Sterling Bank Plc, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, FCIB.
