Babajide A. Sipe is a senior business and communications executive with 20+ years of experience driving brand transformation, corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement, customer growth, and strategic communications across leading African financial institutions. As Group Head, Brand Transformation and Digital Marketing at the Bank of Industry, he is responsible for reinforcing the bank’s relevance as the foremost DFI transforming Nigeria’s industrial landscape, by leveraging various touchpoints. Prior to joining BOI, Jide was Head, Marketing and Corporate Communication at Ecobank Nigeria, where he spearheaded major brand campaigns ensuring that the institution remained the go-to Bank for Pan African Trade and transactions. Before moving to Ecobank, he spent over a decade with Guaranty Trust Bank where he was responsible for Brand Management, Experiential Marketing, Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Product Promotions and Campaigns, amongst other roles. Babajide holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Portsmouth and a Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration from the University of London. A recipient of multiple industry recognitions including Media Manager of the Year and Top PR & Communications Professional awards. He is a member of several professional institutions such as the Nigerian Institute for Public Relations (NIPR); National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN); Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK. He was a pioneer member of the CBN’s Creative Industry Financing Initiative (CIFI) Committee and currently the President, Association of Corporate Communications and Marketing Professionals in Banks (ACAMB).
