Lady Otunba (Mrs) Bosede Adebola Osibogun is a distinguished financial services professional with over four decades of experience spanning real estate financing, trusteeship, and commercial banking. She holds both a Master of Science degree in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor of Education degree in Education & Economics from the prestigious University of Ibadan. Her illustrious career saw her rise to top leadership positions, including serving as General Manager at the defunct Cooperative Bank Plc, Managing Director of Coop Savings & Loans Ltd, and MD/CEO of Skye Trustees Ltd. She retired from active banking practice in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of innovation, integrity, and service. Lady Otunba Osibogun has made significant contributions to governance and professional leadership in Nigeria. She was elected National President of the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN) from 2001–2005, becoming the first woman to occupy that position. In 2014, she again broke barriers when she was elected the 18th President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), a position she held until 2016. She has served with distinction on several boards. She is the current Chairman of Imowo Microfinance Bank, an Independent Non-Executive Director of Odu’a Investment Company Ltd, and a Non-Executive Director of Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank. She previously served as a Director of FBN Mortgages Ltd, later moving to the Board of FBN Holdings Plc, where she served until 2021. She was also Chairperson of the Women Directors Development Committee of the Institute of Directors between 2021 and 2024. Her service at the national level includes membership of the Presidential Committee on Urban Development and Housing, the Presidential Committee on Mortgage Finance, and the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Real Estate Developers Association. A prolific researcher and writer, she has published numerous papers on mortgage institutions, financial literacy, and housing finance. She has also attended several executive programs at globally renowned institutions such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD, Kellogg School of Management, London Business School, Euromoney Learning, and the Lagos Business School. Her outstanding service has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Legendary Award of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and her appointment as an Ambassador of the University of Ibadan at its 75th anniversary. She is a Fellow of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), the Chartered Institute of Directors and the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she has been deeply committed to philanthropy and community development. Among her initiatives are: • The endowment of the Otunba ‘Debola Osibogun Essay Competition for tertiary students in Nigeria. • The award of university scholarships to underprivileged students. • The reconstruction of the Vicarage at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Irewon, Ijebu.
